Many studies indicate that Black people have the highest death rate for cancer overall.  They also state that Black people have a lower 5-year survival cancer rate. Also, according to the CDC, Black people are more likely than White people to be diagnosed with female breast, lung, and colorectal cancers at a late stage.

All resources indicate that early detection and awareness can help prevent cancer or find it early, when it's easier to treat.
